With a background in communications and a first-class English Literature degree, I’m now pretty deft at transforming ideas into captivating copy.
Some might say I’m a bit of an alchemist. (Okay, it’s just me that says that.)
I season words with strategy - using data, psychology and theory to deepen the flavour. And I never (ever) compromise when it comes to preserving, or intensifying, the personality of your brand.
In a world of changeable trends and algorithms, copy that remains faithful to your brand will draw in the community of your dreams.

I’m Ella, one of those busy-brained creative types. (Sound familiar?)
I flutter between imaginative, whimsical word witch and obsessively analytical strategy-nerd.
I’ve worked for some pretty huge organisations. But when I did, I felt like I couldn’t embrace this duality. I wasn’t able to work in a way that made my creative brain flourish. Plus, there was only a handful of people my work could impact at one time.
So, I made my own role up. And that’s how Alchemy Communications formed.
Nowadays, I rethink the communications traditions passed down to me to empower bold and forward-thinking brands instead.
My expressive side enables me to spin your ideas into intriguing stories that resonate with your dream clients. Plus, my inner nerd loves solving wordy problems all day - like developing strategies to define how you communicate with your customers, team members and beyond.
When I’m lost for words, I head down to my local pole dance studio to explore the language of movement instead, or to teach others how to do the same.
I’m also a proper country bumpkin, so I’m outside at every opportunity I can get.
